3. Eligibility

      A. An applicant holding foreign citizenship whose parents are foreign citizens (not Korean citizens)

      B. An applicant who completed the entire 16-year education from elementary school to university in foreign countries(not Korea)

    * Applicants must meet one of the two conditions above.

 

4. Selection Process

Documents (100%) + Interview (100%) = Total 200%

Interdisciplinary Arts Department: Documents (100%) + Interview (100%) + performance(200%) = Total 400%

* Overseas applicants can have interview by phone. Departments may or may not conduct interview. Each department will announce its schedule and method for such interview

Official (Prospective) Graduation Certificates from undergraduate institution

You must be verified by the Korean Embassy or Apostille Verified.

Applicants who graduated from a Chinese university should submit

   1. Graduation(www.cdgdc.edu.cn) Certificates of China Higher-education Student information

   2. Graduation certificate

   3. Degree certificate

Prospective graduates should submit an official prospective graduation certificate verified by the Korean Embassy.

 

Documents not in English or Korean must be translated into a complete English or Korean authenticated by the issuing institution or notarized by a notary’s office.

1. Korean Track: TOPIK level 4

2. English Track: one condition(A,B or C) from below

     A. TOEFL(PBT 530, CBT 197, iBT 71) IELTS 5.5/ CEFR B2/ TEPS 600(NEW TEPS 327)

     B. Native English speakers

     C. Applicants who have completed degree program in an English speaking country.

3. Only some of the courses may make exception by the approval of graduate school dean.

6. Application Fee

A. Master Course: KRW 60,000(Interdisciplinary Arts Dept. KRW 80,000)

B. Combined and Doctor Course: KRW 80,000

7. Scholarship

Amount Benefit Conditions
20% of tuition fee last semester GPA above 3.0
40% of tuition fee

last semester GPA above 3.5

TOPIK level 4∼ or

TOEFL IBT 71∼, IELTS 5.5∼, CEFR B2∼, TEPS 600∼(NEW TEPS 327∼)

50% of tuition fee

last semester GPA above 4.0

  * International students who do not have medical insurance cannot be scholarship grantees.

     First semester scholarship: 50% of tuition fee

 

 

8. Important Notices

       A. Any and all documents and materials submitted with application become the property of Sahmyook University and will not be returned to the applicant.

      B. A detailed account of any individual admissions decision will not be disclosed.

      C. Any of the submitted materials contains false information, admission will be rescinded.

      D. If an applicant fails to graduates as schedules, the admission for the applicant will be automatically cancelled.
